I am dedicated to working with people who want to get at the root of their life suffering and emotional distress.  The quality of the relationship between you and therapist is the critical factor in any successful therapy.  In-depth psychotherapy work depends on the growth and development of a collaborative relationship, which supports your becoming aware of the formative aspects of your life not only intellectually, but emotionally also.  This awareness is the essential ingredient to any meaningful and lasting change in human beings.

We make significant progress in therapy when given the opportunity to talk openly in an atmosphere of inquisitiveness, freedom, caring, and acceptance.  When we speak honestly, addressing our life histories and looking with courage at our life dilemmas — we improve our chances of living a satisfying and fulfilling life.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Colorado/Boulder and my Master’s in Psychology from Naropa University.  I have continued postgraduate training in Psychoanalysis at the Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, the Philadelphia School for Psychoanalysis and the New York Center for Group Studies.

I have practiced individual and couples psychotherapy for over 25 years.  I have significant experience working in private practice with adults, adolescents, and children.   I am also licensed as a supervisor and provide supervision and case consultation for counselors and psychotherapists in private practice or agency settings.

Please do not hesitate to call me and schedule a consult where you can learn more about how this process works and experience whether we are a good fit.  Choosing the right psychotherapist is important, and I wish you well whatever you decide.
